Thunder Gourds
A thunder gourd is a percussion instrument made from a hollowed out gourd. It has a drum head attached at the bottom along with a spring. Each thunder gourd needs a place for the sound to come out. We either drill a hole in the back, cut the top off or during the fractal burning process it will burn its own hole in the gourd. When shaken while holding at the top, it sounds like rolling thunder. Often used for sound effects or as a wind chime. Each thunder gourd has it's own unique sound depending on size, shape and thickness.
Avoid pulling on the spring.
