Gourd 101

A gourd is a type of vining plant like pumpkins. When the gourd dries it turns like wood. It is then cleaned and hollowed out. It can be wood burned, carved, painted or colored. It is then sealed with a high quality clear polyurethane. It has many uses, bowls, vases, wind chimes, bird houses and musical instruments, along with many others. The gourd can weather like wood and the colors can fade over time. 

Avoid putting water in them and only use LED candles/bulbs. No open flame.

The gourd can be Fragile as well.
