Welcome to Our GYS Gourd Studio! We are a husband-and-wife team focused on turning naturally grown gourds into beautiful home decor. While he manages the cleaning, woodburning and carving. I focus on the structural design, and intricate painting to bring out the unique character of each piece. Our highlighted technique is fractal burning. Which is a form of pyrography that uses high-voltage electricity. Which burns intricate, fern-like, or tree-like patterns into the gourd. We love using our hands to create functional art which insures that every item is a unique testament to our shared creativity. Each piece tells a story of nature designed by us to make your home smile.
